  • Private (Self-Funding):

    • No referral is necessary, you can book directly.

    Medicare Rebate:

    • To claim a rebate, you will need a referral from your GP along with a Mental Health Treatment Plan, Eating Disorder Treatment Plan or a Chronic Disease Management Plan.

  • A Mental Health Occupational Therapist (OT) is dedicated to helping you manage and improve your daily life through practical strategies.

    They focus on how your mental health impacts day-to-day tasks such as self-care, work, and socialising.

    By teaching effective coping skills, stress management techniques, and incorporating evidence-based talk therapies, OTs aim to enhance your overall wellbeing and independence.

  • I currently offer online sessions to clients across Australia and home visits for women in the City of Melville, Perth, West Western Australia.

  • Under a mental health treatment plan, each session typically lasts 50 minutes, with an additional 10 minutes for documentation.

    The duration of other sessions may vary depending on their purpose.

  • Mental Health/Occupational Therapy

    • Home/Community-Based: $200 per hour

    • Online: $194 per hour

      Both options include 50 minutes of face-to-face interaction and 10 minutes of documentation.

    DVA Functional Assessment:

    • No cost to you when referred via DVA, as funding is provided by them.

    Medicolegal Reporting:

    • Legal representatives, please email me to discuss rates.

    Functional Assessment:

    • Please contact me to discuss, as costs depend on the purpose and funding source.

    Payment:

    • Payments must be made on the day of service via bank transfer. An invoice will be provided.

  • DVA Eligibility:

    Please discuss with your GP and/or DVA to determine your eligibility.

    Medicare Rebates for Mental Health Treatment Plans (Better Access):

    Medicare rebates for mental health treatment plans (Better Access) are $87.25. These sessions are exclusively for focused psychological strategies as mandated by legislation. Consumers can access up to 10 annual Better Access services, shared across all eligible mental health professions.

    Medicare Rebates for Eating Disorder Treatment and Management Plans (EDP):

    Medicare rebates for EDPs are $87.25 for telehealth or $112.40 for home visits. Penny meets the NEDC workforce core competencies to be able to provide sessions under this program. To be eligible for the rebate telehealth sessions must be video calls, not telephone calls.

    Medicare Rebates for Chronic Disease Management Plans:

    Medicare rebates for chronic disease management plans are $58.00 for sessions lasting 20-50 minutes. These sessions can also be used for mental health treatment. The GP will guide the services they would like the clinician to provide. Eligible consumers can access five sessions in total per calendar year, shared across all eligible allied health professions.

    Private Health Insurance:

  • We understand that sometimes life’s unpredictability can affect your plans. Cancellations are accepted up to 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. This allows us to offer the time slot to someone else in need of support.

    For late cancellations (less than 24 hours' notice) or no-shows, a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the scheduled fee may apply. Please note that cancellation fees are not covered by insurance providers or Medicare and will be your responsibility.

    We empathise with unforeseen emergencies and ask that you contact us as soon as possible to discuss your options if you are unable to attend due to unexpected circumstances. Your wellbeing and understanding are important to us.

  • Not for providing treatment. However, I am available to do assessments and reports for the NDIA appeals process.
